What is Alpha?

Alpha is a course which began in London at a church called Holy Trinity, Brompton. It is a practical introduction to the Christian faith which is for EVERYONE including non-churchgoers and people who would not call themselves Christians. The courses are now run all over the world and by all denominations.

What does Alpha involve?

- A series of 10 meetings plus a day away

- A relaxed atmosphere with either a speaker or a short video, tackling aspects central to the Christian faith.

Who is Alpha for?

- Those seeking purpose in life

- Those wanting to investigate Christianity

- Those not sure of what they believe

- Those who want to brush up on the basics

- New Christians

What will you get from Alpha?

- Above all ALPHA is an opportunity to share and discuss your ideas in small informal groups.

- Bring all your doubts and questions. No question is too simple or too confrontationall

Heather took part in an ALPHA course at St James this is what she says..

The ALPHA course for me was not only eye opening and humorous in places, but where I finally found Jesus,who I now know was missing from my life. And as if that was not enough in itself I met people there I now call true friends.
